The Children's Museum of Siouxland (CMS) seeks to join the growing trend of children's museums worldwide with a proposed $2 million, 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility for children, their families and caregivers.

The CMS is envisioned as a family-orientated, hands-on children’s museum with emphasis on providing educational value while fostering a child’s creativity and imagination.  Targeting children ages 6 months – 10 years, the museum is committed to reaching out to all children and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

The CMS is currently in the planning stages, with a goal to open for business in late 2009.  As a non-profit venture, the CMS will operate through the support of our visiting patrons, as well as through the generous contributions of local businesses, community organizations and philanthropic foundations.

What is a Children's Museum?

Rather than telling you what a children's museum is, we'll show you.  Each month we'll highlight a children's museum and you can see for yourself the kinds of exhibits, programs and activities various children's museums offer around the country.  Just think, we can have similar activities right here in Sioux City!

The Lincoln Children's Museum invites children to create, discover, and learn through the power of play.

Offering three floors and 22,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits and imaginative programs, the Lincoln Children’s Museum offers children the opportunity to be whatever and wherever their imaginations take them, all within a safe and clean environment.

Experience the power of play today!
